CBD is short for cannabidiol, one of the naturally occurring cannabinoids associated with cannabis and hemp. It is used in several kinds of consumer products, including oils, food supplements and cosmetics. Consumer CBD products are not medicines unless they have been specifically authorised as medicines.

CBD itself is not intoxicating. Product composition still matters, however, so use only properly labelled products and follow the supplied directions. A CBD label is not permission to ignore controlled-cannabinoid rules or product quality.

No. Our consumer products are not sold as medicines and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease. Speak with an appropriate healthcare professional about symptoms, conditions or treatment decisions.

CBD is not automatically lawful simply because a label says “CBD”. In Scotland, CBD foods and supplements are regulated as novel foods and must meet the applicable safety, authorisation, labelling and controlled-cannabinoid requirements. The precise position can depend on the product and its ingredients.

Yes. Our shop is intended for adults aged 18 and over. Food Standards Scotland includes children and young people under 18 among the groups advised not to consume CBD unless under medical direction.

Food Standards Scotland recommends that healthy adults consume no more than 10 mg of CBD per day from all CBD food and drink sources combined. Follow the product label and do not exceed any lower stated limit. The recommendation is a daily ceiling, not a target you need to reach.

Count the CBD from every food or supplement used that day. Using several products does not create several separate limits. Check the amount per serving or drop and keep the combined daily amount within the label directions and current official advice.

Food Standards Scotland advises people taking medication to avoid consuming CBD unless under medical direction. CBD can interact with medicines. Ask a doctor or pharmacist who knows your medication before using an ingestible CBD product.

Unless under medical direction, current Scottish advice says CBD is not recommended for under-18s, people taking medication, people who are pregnant or breastfeeding, people trying to conceive, and those who are immunosuppressed.

Stop using it. Seek medical advice when symptoms are concerning or persistent, and urgent help for a serious reaction. Keep the packaging and batch information, then send us the product name, batch number and a factual description of what happened.

Never drive or operate machinery when you feel drowsy, dizzy, unwell or impaired. Check the product label and any medicine advice that applies to you. We cannot guarantee how an individual will respond to a product.

Ingestible products are labelled for oral use. Bath and body products are for external use only and must not be swallowed. The 10 mg Food Standards Scotland recommendation concerns CBD from food and drink; it is not a dosing instruction for cosmetics.

Follow the product label, use externally only, avoid the eyes and broken or irritated skin, and stop if irritation occurs. A small patch test is sensible when you have sensitive skin or are trying a new fragranced product.

Check the product page and the label supplied with the item. Formulas can differ between products, so never rely on a general brand description when an allergy matters. Send a Raven before ordering when you need clarification about a specific ingredient.

Yes. We only present documents that genuinely relate to the product or batch in question. Where a report is available it should be linked from the product page; otherwise send the product name and batch number to the workshop.

Follow the label. As a general rule, keep products closed, upright where appropriate, away from direct sunlight and excessive heat, and out of reach of children and animals. Use the best-before or period-after-opening information supplied with the product.

No. Half Baked products are formulated and labelled for people, not animals. Keep them away from pets and ask a veterinary professional about any treatment or supplement for an animal.

The checkout can offer secure card or supported wallet payments through Stripe and PayPal when those providers are enabled. The payment choices actually available to you are shown at checkout before the order is placed.

The checkout is designed to hand payment entry to the selected payment provider rather than collecting raw card numbers on the Half Baked website. We receive the order and payment status information needed to fulfil and record the purchase.

Check the email address entered at checkout, then look in spam or junk folders. Payment provider receipts and workshop order messages may arrive separately. Send a Raven with your name, approximate order time and payment reference if nothing arrives.

Contact us immediately. We may be able to change or cancel an order before packing or dispatch, but cannot promise changes after it has entered the courier network. Online cancellation and return rights are explained on the Shipping & Returns page.

Do not repeatedly submit the order. Check whether an order confirmation or provider receipt exists, then check your banking app for a completed or pending transaction. Send us the time, amount and payment reference, but never send full card details or passwords.

The current checkout defaults are £3.95 for standard tracked delivery and £5.95 for express tracked delivery. Standard delivery is free when the qualifying order value reaches £50. The checkout price is the final figure.

Workshop preparation currently takes around 1–3 working days. After dispatch, standard delivery is estimated at 2–4 working days and express at 1–2 working days. These are estimates rather than guaranteed arrival dates.

Not through the current checkout. CBD rules and carrier restrictions vary by destination, so international delivery should never be assumed from a UK product listing.

Tracking information is sent after dispatch where the chosen service provides it. Check safe places, household members, neighbours and any courier photograph before reporting a parcel marked as delivered but missing.

Opening a health-protection or hygiene seal may remove the normal change-of-mind cancellation right. That does not remove your rights when an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described. Contact us before returning anything so the correct route can be confirmed.

Photograph the outer packaging, address label, contents and problem before discarding anything. Keep the parcel together and send your order number promptly. Do not use a damaged, leaking or incorrect product while the issue is being assessed.

Half Baked is built around small-batch preparation and finishing in Scotland rather than an anonymous mass-production story. Each product page should still state the relevant product, ingredient and manufacturing information accurately.

It means products are prepared in limited runs, allowing closer attention to measuring, mixing, filling, finishing and batch records. It does not replace proper product safety, labelling or consistency checks.

They are the folklore and personality of the brand, not a regulator, laboratory or official certification body. “Approved by the Wee Free Men” is our fictional Glen seal. Real product information must come from labels, records and appropriate testing.
